Food Services Supervisor
Anne O'Donnell has been a supervisor for the Department of Education's School Food Division District 7 for the past four years. She served on the negotiating committee for Local 237's first contract for Food Services members. O'Donnell's career is a family tradition. Her grandmother worked as a cook in District 10. O'Donnell has a Bachelor of Science in Hotel/Restaurant Management from SUNY Plattsburg and a Master of Science in Career Development from the College of New Rochelle.
Hercules Cornish went to work for the Housing Authority as a caretaker J in 1952 and retired 24 years later as a stores worker. He died the year following this interview, which was conducted in June 1999.
Originally I was from Harlem, but when I came out of the service in 1945 my wife had moved to the Bronx, so I moved there, too. I went to work for the New York City Housing Authority in 1952.
