A Brooklyn teen was arrested after trying to bring a BB gun to class, causing a lockdown at his school building, officials said.

Scott Hogan, 18, a student at a school for kids with special needs located in the same building as Khalil Gibran International Academy High School in Downtown Brooklyn, was stopped by cops on his way to class with the weapon Wednesday morning, officials said.

The student was arrested before he could bring the BB gun to class, Khalil Gibran staffers said.

Students and staff were not permitted to leave their classrooms during the lockdown, which lasted about 30 minutes and ended at 8:55 a.m.

Hogan was charged with menacing and criminal possession of a weapon.

He was awaiting arraignment at Brooklyn Criminal Court on Wednesday night.
