THE BRONX — A 10-year-old student was shot in the arm Wednesday afternoon by a BB gun while inside his Morrisania school, officials said.

The student at Author’s Academy, 1260 Franklin Ave., was struck by a pellet from a BB gun fired about 2:25 p.m. by a person who was outside the building, NYPD and FDNY spokesmen said.

The student was taken to St. Barnabas Hospital with minor injuries, officials added.

There were no immediate arrests and the investigation is ongoing.

No other students or staff were injured in the shooting, according to the Department of Education.
