"Reaching Out with Gregory Floyd," joins the talk show lineup at AM 970 beginning Saturday, February 8th. Show's first guest to NY City Council Speaker Melissa Mark-Viverito
NEW YORK—Teamsters Local 237 President Greg Floyd announced today that his long-running public affairs talk show, "Reaching Out with Gregory Floyd," will move to a new home on the radio dial joining the line up at AM 970 The Answer, beginning on Saturday, February 8th at 8:00 AM EST. The show will air on the first and second Saturdays of each month.
"Reaching Out with Gregory Floyd," began airing on WWRL 1600 AM in 2010 and will continue to address the key issues confronting working New Yorkers during this time of increasing income inequality.
The first guest at the new home of the show is City Council Speaker Melissa Mark-Viverito.
Previous broadcasts included a Who's Who of New York City elected and government officials, union leaders and city workers, including the current Mayor Bill DeBlasio NYC Comptroller Scott Stringer, Public Advocate Letitia James, U.S. Senators Kristen Gillibrand & Charles Schumer; Manhattan District Attorney Cyrus Vance Jr., Bronx Borough President Ruben Diaz Jr., NYS Comptroller Thomas DiNapoli, NYS Attorney General Eric Schneiderman, many members from the US Congressional delegation, state legislature and City Council and labor leaders including Transport Workers Union Local 100 President John Samuelson, NYS AFL-CIO President Mario Cilento, NYC Central Labor Council President Vincent Alvarez and International Brotherhood of Teamsters General President James P. Hoffa.
