Rogler began her career in 1985 as a cafeteria worker. After a break, she returned in 1995 as a special education aide and has been the union representative for her building for 15 years. Rogler says her job is a “dream come true” and the children she works with “are truly special.”  Her father and brother were members of Local 638. “It is amazing to have strong people backing you up,” says Rogler, who is married with three children and 10 grandchildren.

Felci has been a campus peace officer and shop steward for eight years. He is currently on the negotiating team. Previously, he was a school safety agent. He is pursuing a bachelor’s degree in social work and expects to graduate in May of 2015. He is glad to have the job security and benefits that membership provides.

A member since 2009, Keenan believes unions give members strength and make life easier on the job. She enjoys helping tenants and appreciates her union benefits. Keenan is married and has a 19-year-old daughter. Her brother Kevin Keenan is a maintenance worker shop steward and past recipient of the President’s Award.
