Mr. Marinez became a member of Local 237 in 2006.  He started as an elevator helper and in 2012 he became an elevator mechanic. He regularly attends union meetings and likes to help out other members as an informal advisor.

He enjoys electrical work, changing parts and making sure things run. And he enjoys that “all the mechanics work together.”  In his spare time, Mr. Marinez enjoys drag racing – mostly in New Jersey and also playing poker.  Family members include his mother, Mercedes Marinez; his father Julio Marinez and brothers Edgard, Julio, Kelvin, Martin and Freddy.
