Ms. Torres is a dedicated union member. She is happy with the benefits of union membership and is appreciative of the support of her union representative Two of her family members work for NYCHA – her son, Eddieberto and her fiancé Ramon Torres who is a Plasterer Helper.

In addition to her son and fiancé, Ms. Torres has two daughters: Melinda Torres, age 27, who works in a women’s shelter and Joanne Dello, 23, who is a manager at Chipotle. Ms. Torres started working for the authority in 1996 as a WEP worker, then as a seasonal worker until becaming a member of Local 237 in 2000. Outside of work, Ms. Torres enjoys going to the gym and generally staying fit.
