Ms. Cunningham has been a member of Local 237 since 2010 and a shop steward since 2015.  She describes being a union member as “a privilege”.  As a steward, she enjoys being involved, becoming knowledgeable about benefits and passing on this information to her co-workers.  She also encourages others to be involved with the union.

Her job keeps her strong, alert and BUSY! She especially enjoys helping the tenants at NYCHA. Ms. Cunningham is active in her community – she is a part of her Tenants Association and attends community events.  When her daughters, Cassandra and Crystal, were young she was a Girl Scout leader and active in the PTA.  She has a granddaughter, Aubree, who is 4.
