Ms. Daniels has been a member of Local 237 since 1998, starting as a Caretaker J at Carver Houses.  She became a HPT in 2001 – after taking training classes at Sheepshead/Nostrand Houses – and worked at East River Houses and King Towers.

She also served as an Assistant Superintendent at Patterson Houses before returning to working as a HPT in 2010 at Highbridge.

Ms. Daniels describes union membership as:  “Happiness, Security – and when you need help y’all are there!” She appreciates that her union benefits allow her to take care of her family.  She lives in NYCHA housing, goes to work for NYCHA and feels a special connection with NYCHA residents – in particular seniors.
