“Labor Day is a holiday like none other. It is a celebration of workers—all workers—and doesn’t require gifts or greeting cards. Labor Day is the time that we acknowledge decades of fighting for fairness and dignity at the workplace by union members and labor leaders. It is also a time to say “’Thank You” to workers---especially public sector workers---who help to make our City, and our lives, continue to run smoothly.”
