b"About half of your working life was really in the restaurant business?Yeah. If I had to come back again, I would love to have a little luncheon, dinner place, I'd like that. First of all, youhave to have a good location. The food has to be top-notch.I don't eat out much, but when I do, I eat in a place that hasan A [rating]. That's why I like Manhattan, it has got so many restaurants!Do you have a family? No, I never been married. I live with my sister. So, in making your job choices, you could have gone on a cruise and not worried about your wife and children.Yeah, I would have liked to do that, but, too late now, so Im not even going to try.Is there anything else that you want to tell me about your work or your life? I just want to say I had fun in Housing, I met some very nice people, some I might have seen for a little while, some I don't see any more, but I had fun. I'm kind of glad that I did work for the City, because I like the courses they give at theunion. They're very nice. So, you're enjoying the retirement benefits very much.Oh yeah. I only wish they would send me on a trip [laughs]. Housing, it has its moments, but most of the time I hadfun. I had fun working with crazy co-workers; we had fun. We would meet at parties, go to concerts. I like jazz. Miles Davisand John Coltrane are my favorite, but I never saw them. I saw this old group, it was in a blues group called the KappBand, not the Kapp Band, K-A-P-P, that's how they spelled it and they were just as good back in the '70s and '80s, theystill sound good.Do you play an instrument or sing?Long time ago, I was in a little group. I had a conga drum. Some of the guys went into the Service and we disbanded. It was a Latin band. We played in the park. Thanks for sharing your life with us.I want to thank you.165 "
